Classical Ballet / Soloist

He started with folk dances at the age of six. He attended the ballet preparatory school of the National Theatre between 1987 and 1989 and studied at the Dance Conservatory in Prague between 1989 and 1997. After graduation he joined the National Theatre Ballet Company in Prague and stayed there until 2005. His most interesting roles on the stages of the National Theatre include smaller solos in Swan Lake, Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet; Grand Pas in Raymonda; from the neo-classical repertoire a solo in Alvin Ailey’s choreography The River and the role of Damselfly in Kylián’s ballet fairytale The Child and Magic. In 1996 he attended the summer dance seminar in Cologne. He did Irish dances for some years; his hobbies include literature, history, hiking and bicycling. In the 2005/2006 season, he joined the ballet company of the Prague State Opera.
