Kim Youngsil

Youngsil Kim was born in Okayama City, Japan. Youngsil Kim began her ballet training at age five at Sugimoto Sonoko Ballet with Svetlana Assaouliak. At age 17, Youngsil moved to NYC to study dance at the Joffrey School and later at Ellison Ballet professional training program, where she graduated in 2008. Yougsil has performed principal and soloist roles in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Diana and Acteon, Paquita, La Sylphide, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire, and Sylvia. Currently she is a full time member of Configuration Dance Theater where some of her repertoire includes Fusion for 6 by Jon Lehrer, Air and Breathless by Joseph Cipolla, Royenne by Susan Jaffe and What\'s the Pointe?, Tchaicotic, Mishima, Arthur of Wales, Bound, and Been There Don That by Michael Shannon.
