Classical Ballet / Dancer
William Moragas, born in Brazil, received his training in São Paulo, as well as at the Cuban National Ballet School in Havana and the Academy of Dance in Mannheim, Germany. From 2000 to 2002 he danced with Dresden Semperoper Ballet, between 2002 and 2003 with the State Theatre in Karlsruhe, from 2003 until 2006 with the Ballet of the Municipal Theater in Koblenz and then in Chemnitz, before he joined Gauthier Dance in its founding year 2007. His repertoire grew continuously and now includes works by Eric Gauthier, Mauro Bigonzetti, Alejandro Cerrudo, John Cranko, Itzik Galili, Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León, Hans van Manen, John Neumeier, Robert North, Uwe Scholz, Christian Spuck, Philip Taylor, Glen Tetley, Jorma Uotinen, Vladimir Vasiliev, Richard Wherlock, Sir Peter Wright and Petr Zuska. His first choreography A Single Man (2010), created for the Gauthier Dance Production Out of the Box II, was widely acclaimed by the audience and press and represents Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart on galas throughout Germany.
