Tomoko Takahashi was trained at both Aoi Tori Ballet School and The Goh Ballet School. She joined the Hungarian Dance Art Academy in 2005 and graduated in 2007. She then joined the Columbia Classical Ballet in 2007, where she performed in various productions such as Black Bird and Symphony in D by Jiří Kylián, Serenade and Sylvia by George Balanchine, Exception to the Corollary by Rick McCullough, as well as in Esmeralda and Diana & Actaeon by Agrippina Vaganova.
