Stéphen Delattre was born in 1982 in France. He began his dance studies in 1993 at the École Supérieure Nationale de Danse in Marseilles under the direction of Roland Petit and ended it there in 1999. His first engagement in 2000 led him to Rosella Hightower\'s\' Jeune Ballet International de Cannes. Followed by engagements at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken (2002), at the State Theatre of Braunschweig (2004), at the Staatsoper Hannover (2006) and at the Theater Augsburg (2007). He has danced in works by George Balanchine, Mauro Bigonzetti, Davide Bombana, Nacho Duato, Mikhail Fokine, William Forsythe, Itzik Galili, Jacopo Godani, Marco Goecke, Thierry Malandain, Martino Müller, Kevin O\'Day, Roland Petit, Angelin Preljocaj, Christian spitting, Pascal Touzeau and Renato Zanella. Delattre took leading roles for example in \"Dream-Crowned,\" \"Alice in Wonderland,\" \"Romeo and Juliet\" (as Mercutio), \"The Nutcracker\" (Fritz and Chinese) and \"A Midsummer Night\'s Dream\" (Lysander). He choreographed several pieces already in France (Cannes), Germany (Augsburg, Braunschweig, Giessen, Hannover, Saarbrücken) and Japan (Nagoya). In the past four years, he also choreographed for the Noverre Society in Stuttgart. In 2008 he was appointed by danceforyou magazine as \"Best Young Choreographer-2007,\" in 2009 by Augsburg Journal nominated as \"Best Dancer 2009\". At the \"International Competition for Choreographers\" in Hanover Delattre received the Critics Award in 2010.
Stéphen Delattre is ballettmainz decreased since the 2009/10 season, an ensemble member.
