Sara Orselli began her dancer training at the Dance Gallery in Perugia, Italy, under the direction of Valentina Romito and Rita Petrone. She then trained from 1999 to 2002 at Isola Danza, the Venice Biennale dance academy headed by Carolyn Carlson. She has danced for Carolyn Carlson in the Venice Biennale (Parabola, 1999, Light Bringers, 2000, and J. Beuys Song, 2001), for Juha Marsalo and for Bruno Collinet. Orselli regularly dances in works by Carolyn Carlson: Inanna, a work for seven women premiered in 2005, Water Born in the Art Deco swimming pool in Bruay-La-Buissière, first performed in June 2007, and eau, which premiered at Lille Opera in April 2008. For Juha Marsalo, she danced in Prologue d\'une scène d\'amour, Perle and his forthcoming new work, Parfum. She was assistant choreographer on the new work Wash the Flowers by Carolyn Carlson in Lucerne in 2005, on Carolyn Carlson\'s first piece for a young audience, Les Rêves de Karabine Klaxon, and Scène d\'amour by Juha Marsalo, commissioned by the National Choreographic Centre Roubaix Nord-Pas de Calais.
