Ryan Stokes
A native of Louisville, Ryan began his training with the Louisville Ballet School in 2003. In 2005, he joined American National Ballet under the direction of Armando Maldonado, dancing numerous contemporary roles. Ryan joined the Minnesota Ballet in 2007, where he danced for three years under the direction of Robert Gardner. While there he had the opportunity to dance roles in ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Sylvia, Coppélia, George Balanchine’s Who Cares?, Antony Tudor’s Little Improvisations and Alan Field’s Rough Cut Swing. This is Ryan’s first season with the Louisville Ballet.
