Rita Pollacchi finished her secondary ballet education in Italy in the La Scala Ballet School, where she already participated in the La Scala productions of The Nutcracker and Don Quixote. From 1995 to 1998 she perfected her ballet skills at the Heinz Bosl Stiftung Ballet Academy. During that time she also collaborated with the Bavarian State Ballet. In 1998, she became a secondary soloist with the Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, where she was promoted to soloist in 2007.
