Rebecca Johnson is originally from Ann Arbor, MI where she received her early training from Marjorie Randazzo. From there she attended Virginia School of the Arts as well as summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theater, and Ballet Austin. Ms. Johnson joined Ballet Austin’s Trainee Program in 2003 and was promoted to Ballet Austin II in 2004. She has enjoyed performing roles in Twyla Tharp's Nine Sinatra Songs, George Balanchine’s Serenade and Episodes, and in Stephen Mills' The Taming of the Shrew, Touch, and Hamlet. Recently, Ms Johnson has enjoyed performing the Dream Pas in Mills' Cinderella, and as the Snow Queen and Arabian in his Nutcracker. This is Ms. Johnson’s fifth season with the company.
