Philipp Egli is from Zurich. In 1990 he was hired as a dancer with the "Compagnie Philippe Saire" in Lausanne. In 1991, he worked at "Ljada-nouvelle danse" Biel in 1992-1995 before moving to the prestigious "ROSAS" by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker in Brussels. Back in Zurich, he founded his own company, "Molteni". There he created his first full-length works and choreography on the occasion of the 200th Birthday of Goethe in Frankfurt. In that time he has performed as soloist with the Zurich Ballet and choreographed for "Aida," "Oberon" and "Simplicius". In 2000 he received the Choreography of the UBS Cultural Foundation. From 2001 to 2009 he served as chief choreographer of the dance company Theatre St. Gallen, and from 2004 the Theatre Dance School. From 2009 to 2010 led Philipp Egli of Switzerland in the first training program for contemporary dance at the Zurich University of the Arts.
