Classical Ballet / Soloist
Soloist Patricia Namba, born in Brazil, began her ballet training at the city their home city of São Paulo. In 2001 she won the International Dance Competition in Brasilia, the gold medal and received a scholarship from the Dance Foundation Birgit Keil for further study at the Academy of Dance in Mannheim. While the artistic postgraduate studies dance / stage experience she was a member of the newly established ballet studio of the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and became the 2003/2004 season, a founding member of the newly formed ensemble. 2008 appointed artistic director Birgit Keil her to soloist. She danced the title role of Scheherazade, Pas de Six in Giselle, Kindertotenlieder the harlot in Romeo and Juliet, Soledad in Carmen and Lola by Ray Barra and Hermia in A Midsummer Night\'s Dream by Youri Vamos. She also appeared in Le Sacre du Printemps by Davide Bombana, Cadence of Thiago Bordin, William Forsythe\'s The vertiginous thrill of Exactitude, Ralf Jaroschinskis Suite sporty, and Terence Kohler Transcended Empty Frames, George Balanchine\'s Symphony in C (4th movement) Hans van Manen\'s Adagio Hammerklavier and the choreography by Marius Petipa, Christian Spuck, Philip Taylor and Renato Zanella. In Christopher Wheeldon she danced the Swan Lake Pas de Trois and the Pas de Quatre. In June 2010 she made her debut as Lise in La Fille mal gardée by Frederick Ashton.
