Natalia was born in Moscow. Trained in dance and gymnastic since she was 5. She began her formal ballet training at 8 in Mikhail Lavrovsky Ballet School. Graduated from the Moscow Ballet Academy (class of M. Leonova) in 2004 and joined the Bolshoi Ballet. On 2006 she became a soloist, a leading soloist in 2008, a principal dancer in 2010. Since 2012 Principal dancer with the Mikhailovsky Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Guest artist with the La Scala Ballet company.

  • Laureate of the International Ballet Competition Moscow 2005
  • Awarded Ballet magazines Soul of Dance prize in the Rising Star category 2007
  • Winner of the Critics Circle National Dance Award in the Best Female Dancer category 2008
  • Recipent of the Golden Mask Award (best duet) 2008
  • Winner of the Benois de la Danse prize for his performance in Le Corsaire and The Flames of Paris 2009
  • Laureate of the International Ballet Prize Dance Open 2010
  • Winner of the Critics Circle National Dance Award in the Best Dancer category 2011
  • Grand Prix of International Ballet Prize Dance Open 2011
