After graduating from the Eva Jaczová Dance Conservatory in Bratislava he joined the Ballet Company of the Slovak National Theatre in 1989. Within a short period of time he became a principal dancer. In 1992 he was invited to dance with Jiri Kilian’s Netherlands Dance Theatre in the Hague. In 1999 he accepted the offer to become principal dancer of Les Grand Ballets Canadiens in Montreal. He started to create choreographies in 2002. Mário Radačovský served as artistic director of the Slovak National Theatre Ballet company from 2006 until May 2010.
