Marianne Gignac-Girard hails from Baie-Comeau. Soon after moving to Montreal in 1998, she founded the collective Sipailles Sirondes with five other dancers. For several years, the group presented works throughout Quebec, and in France. Marianne Gignac-Girard then studied at Ateliers de danse moderne de Montréal (LADMMI), completing her program in 2005. She danced for three years in LOVE, a Cirque du Soleil production in Las Vegas directed by Dominic Champagne. During her time in the United States, she also earned a certificate to teach Pilates. After her return to Montreal, Marianne Gignac-Girard danced in a variety of works by rising young artists, including Montreal choreographer Anne Thériault. She became a member of O Vertigo in winter, 2010, for Onde de choc.
