Classical Ballet / Dancer / Dancer

Lucie Mongrain studied dance at Toronto’s Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, including ballet with Nadia Potts and modern dance with Karen Duplessis. She then danced for the company Dogs in Space (Mitch Kirsh) and worked on two films with Canadian filmmaker Isabella Pruska. She participated in the Toronto Fringe Festival in 1996 and 1997. In 1998, she joined Compagnie Marie Chouinard where in 2000, Marie Chouinard created the solo Étude no. 1 for her. Lucie Mongrain also plays electric guitar for punk and rock bands.
