Classical Ballet / Dancer

was born into a dance family in Siktivkar, Komi, USSR. In 2001 he graduated from the Moscow State Choreography Academy of Bolshoi Theater and was soon invited to join the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts (GITIS) as a soloist. He was awarded a prize in the First Chabukiani - Balanchine International Ballet Competition in Tbilisi, Georgia. Leonid danced as a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and the Russian National Ballet Theatre (Radchenko) and as a principal dancer with the Moscow Ballet Company and Russian Ballet Theatre (Gordeev). Leonid came to the United States in 2005 and has been a principal dancer with Pennsylvania Ballet, Columbia Classical Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Miami Ballet and the International Ballet Company. He has performed in Russia, Siberia, Thailand, Japan, Austria, China, UAE, Italy, Spain, England, France, Germany and throughout the US. He was honored to perform in Goya, a ballet choreographed by Russian ballet star, Faruk Ruzimatov and also in Mikhail Lavrosky’s re-creation of his father’s famous Romeo & Juliet, dancing the role of Romeo.
