Classical Ballet / Dancer
originally from Orange County, began dancing at the age of two. Through a very diverse training in many dance disciplines, Kim achieved various competitive awards and dance scholarships. Kimberly\\\'s love of dance continued at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she received her B.F.A. in Dance. Upon graduation, in June 2007 she was honored to receive the Alice Condadina Performance Award for her performance in a Keith Johnson original work, At Last It\\\'s Clear. During her time at UCSB she worked with choreographers such as Nancy Colahan, Christopher Pilafian, Stephanie Nugent, Tonia Shimin, Keith Johnson, Peggy Baker, Kim Epifano, Ben Levy, Holly Johnston and many others. While at UCSB Kim also had to opportunity to perform at the American College Dance Festival in Missoula, Montana, and in Santa Barbara Dance Alliance\\\'s New Works Dance Festival. From December 2007 through June 2008, Kim danced with NugentDance under long-time mentor and Artistic Director Stephanie Nugent. Kim is currently the Director of Dance at Orange County Dance and Theater Arts, where she is also a full-time member of the teaching faculty. Kim feels privileged to start her first season with Backhausdance under Jenny Backhaus, and looks forward to a very rich and rewarding dance career.
