Kikuchi started his training of classical ballet when he was at the age of 10. He joined AMBT in 2001, and since then Kikuchi has danced leading roles of Don Quixote, La Fille Mal-Gardee, The Nutcracker and The Three Musketeers (Porthos) ,and many featured roles such as Blue Bird, Fairy of Gold and French Prince (The Sleeping Beauty), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Bolero (Don Quixote), and Pas de Trois, Pas de Quatre and Spanish Dancer (Swan Lake). He has also danced a Soloist for Duke Ellington Ballet and Pink Floyd Ballet. In 2003 Kikuchi has performed in Roland Petit raconte ... les chemins de la creation, a gala performance conceived and organized by Roland Petit, given in France and Russia with Roland Petit, Lucia Lacarra, Luigi Bonino and other eminent dancers. The press spoke highly of him, saying “[Kikuchi] is [...] superbly gifted with enormous magnetism”(Le Figaro, March 6 and 7, 2003). In November 2007, Kikuchi made a guest appearance for the world-premier in La Dame aux Camelias of New National Theater Ballet as Armand Duval, which won a critical acclaim
