Classical Ballet / Dancer

Kelly Walsh joined the Alabama Ballet in 2007. Since then, she has enjoyed performing roles such as \\\"Spring Fairy\\\" in Cinderella, “Something Stupid” in Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs, and \\\"Amour\\\" in Don Quixote. She began her formal dance training at the age of 12 at the Cantarella School of Dance/Albany Berkshire Ballet in her hometown, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She continued her training at the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program, Washington Academy of Performing Arts, and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Kelly received her BLA in psychology and legal studies from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in May of 2010. She is the co-owner of the jewelry business KG accessories and is also a faculty member at the Alabama Ballet Royal Academy of Dance. Kelly would like to thank her family and her fiancée, Gauen Rhys Alexander, as she would not have had the opportunity to do what she loves for a living had it not been for all their years of love and support.
