Moscato Karen Leslie

Classical Ballet / Dancer

A New Jersey native, Karen Leslie Moscato saw American Repertory Ballet's The Nutcracker when she was four years old, and promptly asked for ballet lessons. She began classes at Princeton Ballet School the next fall and trained at Princeton Ballet School through all class levels, joining the trainee program in 2010. At Princeton Ballet School, she studied with Douglas Martin, Mary Barton and Maria Youskevitch. Over the summers, she attended intensive programs at Boston Ballet with Rochelle Zide-Booth, and at Kaatsbaan International Dance Center with Martine van Hamel. Karen Leslie was featured in this year's production of The Nutcracker as Dewdrop Fairy, Marzipan Woman, and Sugar Doll, and previously as the young Marie. She has also performed lead roles of Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, and Amor in Don Quixote in Princeton Ballet School productions. Photo by Valerie Ford.
