Weiss Izadora

Contemporary dance / Choreographer
A graduate of the State Ballet School in Warsaw and the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music. A double holder of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarship. After graduation she worked for the Grand Theatre in Warsaw and in parallel studied ballet pedagogy.
She made her début as a choreographer in 1996 in the Grand Theatre in Poznań with A Midsummer Night's Dreams. Standing ovation from the audience coincided with excellent press reviews. She cooperates with Poland’s most prominent opera producers. So far she has prepared the choreography for such operas as: Turandot, Straszny dwór (The Haunted Manor), Galina, Salome, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Aida, Carmen, Der Freischütz (The Marksman), Nabucco, Eugene Onegin, Faust, Halka and Julius Caesar. These operas have been presented on the most important Polish stages as well as in the USA, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Finland.
