Murphy Frances


Classical Ballet / Dancer

Australian, born in Melbourne. Frances started her training at Camberwell District Ballet under the direction of Susan Thompsan and Tovio Tavis. Then she pursue her studies at the Australian Ballet School till 2002 where she obtained an advanced diploma in dance. After which, she joined The Australian Ballet Company from 2003 till 2008. During this period, she had the opportunity to dance in contemporary works such as Kylian’s “Petite Mort” and “Sechs Tanze” and to work in a creative environment with guest choreographers – Murphy, Obarzanek and Pastor.
Frances has also danced many of the classical ballets including soloist roles in MacMillan's "Manon" and a leading willis in "Giselle".
Frances joined Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo in August 2009.
