Erin received her training primarily under the direction of Diane K. Mosier, and went on to study at the Interlochen Arts Academy. She danced with Oakland Ballet for five years, performing lead in Cinderella and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. In 2003, she received the Isadora Duncan Award for her portrayal of Giselle with the Oakland Ballet, a role taught to her by Frederic Franklin of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Erin joined Smuin Ballet in 2003. Some of her favorite pieces to perform included Michael Lowe\\\'s Double Happiness, Amy Seiwert\\\'s Revealing the Bridge, Michael Smuin\\\'s Romeo and Juliet, and Jirí Kylián\\\'s Petite Mort.
