Classical Ballet / Trainee

Born in Marietta, OH, Emma began her training at the age 7 with the Schrader Youth Ballet in Parkersburg, WV. During high school, she attended several summer programs such as North Carolina School of the Arts, Point Park International Summer Dance, and North Carolina Dance Theatre. After graduating high school, Emma went on to study dance at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) as a ballet major. While at CCM, she has had the opportunity to perform the lead roles in Balanchine’s Pas de Dix, staged by Frederic Franklin, and Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère, staged by Deirdre Carberry. She has also had the opportunity to perform with Ballet Theatre Midwest and in the Charleston Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Emma will graduate from CCM in the spring of 2011 with her B.F.A. This is her first season with the Louisville Ballet.
