Classical Ballet / Trainee

Emma began her ballet training at age seven at The School of Ballet Arizona with Kee-Juan Han and Nadya Zubkov and later under the direction of Nancy Crowley. Emma performed as a student with Ballet Arizona in Ib Andersen’s The Nutcracker (Clara), Coppelia, and Bournonville’s La Sylphide. During the summers Emma studied on scholarship at the School of American Ballet (SAB) and at age fourteen continued training there year around. While at SAB Emma performed George Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Symphony in C, Stars and Stripes, Serenade, Borree Fantasque, and Scenes de Ballet. Emma also performed with the New York City Ballet in Peter Martin’s Sleeping Beauty and Susan Stroman’s Double Feature. Emma broadened her training with summer intensives at San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Boston Ballet. Emma graduated from SAB in 2010 before joining Ballet Arizona this season.
