Classical Ballet / Dancer
An Albuquerque native, Devon Adams received classical ballet training from the ages of 8 to 18, performing soloist and lead roles as an apprentice with Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico. While earning her BFA in Dance Performance at Southern Methodist University, she pursued a wide variety of contemporary and classical movement, and performed in works such as Donald McKayle\'s \"Songs of the Disinherited\" and Paul Taylor\'s \"Cloven Kingdom.\" At SMU, she was often a contributor to the Meadows School of the Arts Division of Dance student choreographic discourse, particularly in her senior year. She continued her professional career in New York City, joining the Angelo Dance Project in 2010 and performing in the annual DUMBO White Wave Dance Festival in Brooklyn. Devon has returned to Albuquerque and is thrilled to be working and performing with BRT again.
