Classical Ballet / Dancer
Deanna Stetsura trained at Russia\'s Perm Ballet School under Ludmila Saherova. After graduating, she was accepted as a soloist into the Kremlin Ballet of Moscow. Ms. Stetsura was a principal dancer for the State Musical Theatre of Belarus and Columbia Classical Ballet in South Carolina, and also danced with Ballet Internationale in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. Stetsura has performed lead roles in productions such as Don Quixote, Carmen, La Sylphide, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Allegro Brillante, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty and Le Corsaire among others. She was a finalist in two international ballet competitions, and also received the highest award for the best stage debut in the country of Belarus for her performance of the title role Giselle. Since joining Milwaukee Ballet, Ms. Stetsura has danced leading roles such as Odette in Michael Pink\'s Swan Lake, Marie in The Nutcracker, Gertrude in Hamlet, Dulcinea in Don Qioxote, and the leads in La Bayadere, Raymonda and Agon. She has also worked with many great choreographers performing in contemporary pieces. She also guests performs and teaches in many different cities across the United States.
