Originally from Atlanta, Christy is returns for her eighth season with the Louisville Ballet. Some of her favorite roles with the Company include Myrtle Wilson in Prokovsky’s The Great Gatsby, the second pas de trois in Balanchine’s Agon, The Man I Love pas de deux in Who Cares?, the waltz girl in Serenade, and the pas de trois in Ben Stevenson’s Four Last Songs. She has enjoyed contemporary work as the Rum and Coca Cola girl in Paul Taylor’s Company B, in Val Caniparoli’s Lamberena, and in Helen Pickett’s ballets Etesian and Upon Your Held Out Hand. Before joining the Louisville Ballet, Christy danced with the Texas Ballet Theater performing title roles in Cinderella and Giselle. She has also danced with the Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Memphis, and Ballet Dallas. Additionally, Christy teaches for the Louisville Ballet School in the intermediate division.
