Classical Ballet / Dancer
Casey Dalton is from Boston, Massachusetts and studied with Rudolph Kharatian at the School of Washington Ballet and with Alla Sizova at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. She joined Colorado Ballet in 2004 and attended the Summer Intensive at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Kaatsbaan International Dance Center. Dalton’s favorite roles include the Dumpy Stepsister in Cinderella, Doll and Russian in The Nutcracker, Two Ladies in Leaves are Fading, Max’s Toys in Where the Wild Things Are, lead Czardas and Mazurka in Coppélia and one of the Trio Ladies in Great Galloping Gottschalk. Dalton has enjoyed the opportunities to work with so many coaches and choreographers, especially Amanda McKerrow, John Gardner, Shelley Washington, Brian Reeder, Lila York, Michael Pink and Dwight Rhoden. For Dalton, it has been an amazing experience to be a part of the creation of so many world premiere ballets, in addition to dancing well-known classical and contemporary works. It is something she believes makes Colorado Ballet stand out among other companies.
