Brizel was a Theater Arts major at the Philippine High School for the Arts when he was introduced to dance. He joined Agnes Locsin’s dance-drama Labaw Donggon in 1997 and went on to become a Dance Major at the University of the Philippines-College of Music. In December 2005, Brizel joined BP scholar and was promoted to apprentice just four months after.

In 2007, he became a company member. He trained in both classical and modern under Basilio Esteban Villaruz, Angel Lawenko-Baguilat, Noordin Jumalon, Victor Ursabia, Alan Hineline, Max Luna 111, Enrico Labayen and Anatoli Panasiukov. Brizel danced the role of Andres Bonifacio in Agnes Locsin’s La Revolucion Filipina. He also performed as Ogassi in the Tales of the Manuvu and in Vicente Nebrada’s Our Waltzes.
