Benjamin Linn, an Ohio native, began his ballet training with Richard Early of Cincinnati Ballet and later continued his training at the University of Cincinnati with Robert Cole and Jade Adams. He has performed with Nashville Ballet, Alabama Dance Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre Company, Santa Barbara Ballet and Hosanna Sacred Arts. Ben began working as a guest artist with the Alabama Ballet in 2001 and joined the Company in 2003. Since then, Ben has appeared with the Company in Don Quixote, Cinderella, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, An American in Paris, Carousel, The Firebird, Song & Dance, Van Fleteren’s unRAVELed, Shostakovich Opus 102, Concert Fantasy, Alan Hineline’s Twist, Teri Weksler’s Quixotic, Leslie Browne’s Brahm’s Trio, Kenneth Tolle’s Thorns and Images of Faith, Trey McIntire’s Aliss in Wonderland and George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations, The Nutcracker, Serenade and Stars and Stripes. His featured roles include Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Cavalier in Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Sea Creature in Septime Webre’s Where the Wild Things Are, Von Rothbart in Swan Lake, Van Helsing in Dracula, Hilarion in Giselle, Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, and Lilac Cavalier in The Sleeping Beauty. Most recently Mr. Linn appeared as the villainous Mr. Hyde in Van Fleteren’s Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, and concluded the season with All the Way from Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs and Van Fleteren’s Messin’ With Mozart. He is also a member of the Gorham’s Bluff residency.
