Classical Ballet / Dancer

Aspiring to become a dancer from the start of a young age, Ashley Jackson traveled around North Carolina\'s Piedmont area to enhance her training from places such as the North Carolina School of the Arts, Susan\'s Dance Unlimited, and Dancer\'s Head Quarters. In 2005, she joined North Carolina Dance Theatre II. A few of her favorite ballets to perform are Alonzo King\'s Scheherazade, George Balanchine\'s Serenade, and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux\'s Carmina Burana. She is currently enrolled in the Liberal Education for Arts Professionals Program at Saint Marys College of California. In 2009, she received the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation\'s Performing Arts medal. Ashley\'s also featured in Dance Magazine\'s August 2009 edition and High Point Enterprise\'s September 21, 2009 newspaper. In 2010, she was honored with the Princess Grace Dance Fellowship Award and the Chris Hellman Dance Award. This is Ashley\'s fifth year with LINES Ballet
