Aliya Tanykpayeva (solo) is from Kazakhstan. After her education at the ballet school Alma-Ata was a member of the State Ballet Alma-Ata and the Imperial Russian Ballet. From 2005 to 2009 she was principal dancer at the Vienna State Opera, where she had experience in numerous leading roles (including Odette in Swan Lake, Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet and Tatiana in Cranko's" Eugene Ogenin "). She was winner of the Grand Prix Ballet Competition in Luxembourg and the winner of the International Ballet Competition in Perm. Since the previous season, she is a member of the Zurich Ballet. Here she danced Raymonda, the female lead in "Lettres intimes" and Stravinsky's Firebird ballet of the same.
