Following his training at the Rambert School in London, Alan Brooks worked for the Scottish Dance Theatre in Dundee for two years. In 1998, he joined the Balletttheater München as a soloist under the direction of Philip Taylor. He performed numerous roles with them in Germany and abroad, directed by the choreographers Philip Taylor, Jirí Kylián, Carolyn Carlson and Rui Horta. In 2000, Brooks launched the first dance education programme for young people and adults involving the Balletttheater München, the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. In 2007, he became a freelance performer and teacher for projects in Munich, Berlin, Roubaix and Bavaria.
