Active in the dance world for thirty years, the Ballet Company of Milan, founded by Renata Bestetti and Aldo Masella hours Honorary President, has become increasingly becoming one of the realities of high national level.
The Company has a stable core of carefully selected dancers from the best schools and academies, which combine an impeccable technique and versatility undoubtedly expressive ability. There are many great artists and guest choreographers in the history of the company including major brand names on the international scene such as Carla Fracci, Oriella Dorella, the Ossipenko, Manguette Serge, Marc Pierini, Alessandro Molin, George Iancu, Loris Gai, Vittorio Biagi, Joseph Carbone , Micha van Hoecke, Denys Ganio, Ruben Celiberti, Raffaele Paganini, Grace Galante, Luciana Savignano.
Turning point in the history of Ballet in Milan was the appointment of Charles Pounds as President and Artistic Director (1998). During the years of his leadership, in fact, the Ballet of Milan has staged major national and international productions including La Marquise von O., Tango … a rose for Jorge Donn, Primadonna: heroines of the opera, La Traviata, La vie de Boheme, Bolero, Tango de Amor, Woma, Red Passion and, in 2009, Romeo and Juliet in co-production with very prestigious theatrical institutions including the Fondazione Teatro Coccia in Novara, the Fondazione Teatro Grande in Brescia, Teatro Sociale di Mantova. Among the international tours we remember that in Russia (1999 – Tango … a rose for Jorge Donn Denys Ganio) where for the first time an Italian company has had the honor of performing at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow getting enthusiastic, always in France with Tango …, England, Ireland, Switzerland, Russia with La Traviata and La Vie de Boheme, until that triumphant in Spain (2010) by Giorgio Madia Romeo and Juliet.
