Opened on September, 29th 1956. The building is constructed in 1954 (architect N. Kurennoy: auditorium for 1205 seats). In 1956 to the theatre name of great russian composer M. Glinka's has recived. The base of opera troupe was made by graduates of musical educational institutions, ballet troupe - the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) and Moscow Ballet schools.
