Peter Schaufuss Balletten
In 1979 the dream of starting a ballet company of his own took place and Peter Schaufuss started up the preparations. However his positions as artistic directors in London, Berlin and Copenhagen put a temporary stop for these plans.
A serious offer in 1995 from the local authorities in Holstebro about starting up a department of The Danish Royal Theatre’s Ballet School together with a ballet company of his own.
In 1997 the Peter Schaufuss Ballet was established with the Premiere performance The Tchaikovsky Trilogy: SWAN LAKE, SLEEPING BEAUTY & NUTCRACKER. The performances toured in Holstebro, Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense and Esbjerg – where the company received the “Musichouse’s Starprize 1998”, a newly inaugurated prize from the Music House in Esbjerg for best performance in 97/98. After that the company toured in Paris, Edinburgh and Santander in Spain with the performances.
Since then there has been no let-up with new productions every year. The Peter Schaufuss Ballet enjoys to deliver grand success performances to the audience nationally and internationally.
