LWD

Based in Australia’s ‘culture capital’ - Adelaide, South Australia - LWD is a compact group of individual dance artists whose experience and special talents combine to present new Australian dance of an international calibre.

Wherever possible, the company partners with composers, musical groups and visual artists of various cultures to create works which challenge the dancers and the art forms themselves - appealing to audiences of all ages.

LWD has performed extensively overseas - at the Holland Dance Festival (The Hague), The Turning World Festival (London), Seoul International Dance Festival (Korea) and in Singapore, Indonesia, Japan and the USA. The company has also performed in every corner of Australia - from capital cities to numerous regional centres.

The company has received many accolades - Australian Dance Awards, a national Sidney Myer Performing Arts Award, several Green Room Awards and numerous Adelaide Critics’ Circle Awards.
